Our Interior Painting ProcessSet-up
- Furniture and other items are carefully placed to the center of the room and covered with clean plastic sheeting or thick canvas drops.
- All necessary hardware, switch plates, doorknobs, lights, etc., are removed, labeled, and put in a safe location.
- Masking paper and plastic is used to cover everywhere necessary at flooring edges, and other exposed surfaces ensuring the paint only goes where it's supposed to.
- Finally,a combination of clean, thick canvas drops and thick, durable paper are used to protect your floor.
Preparation
- Based on your Job Proposal, holes and cracks in your walls & ceilings are filled; any stains on walls are sealed and blocked, and necessary surfaces are evenly sanded.
- Dust and other particles are removed from and near all surfaces to be painted.
- Any prepared areas are then primed if necessary, all bare wood, and patches, etc...
Painting
- As per your proposal, 2 thick and even coats are applied using one of our application techniques listed below. In rare cases do we apply only 1 coat.
- Our most common and favored application method on interiors is brush and roll only. This is because to spray inside is very labor intensive on the masking part and to avoid overspray on your furniture and other appliances.
- Our other application method is used only when all rooms are emptied. Here we spray and back-brush all corners and back-roll all walls on both coats. We do this on both coats because interior walls are normally heavily textured and porous. Furthermore, on walls that are completely smooth, we want to obtain an even texture created by the roller that helps to hide minor imperfections smooth walls have.
- Our last application method is at your request only, and used in order to bring the total job down. We only use it when all rooms are empty and no carpet exists. Here we will spray only except of course where we cut the ceiling in. However, the job never looks as professional or will it last as long, the walls just can't absorb the paint without pressing it in with a brush and roller.
Clean-up
- Clean up is done daily, thoroughly, and completely upon job completion.
- We strive for a no-trace paint job.
Final Walk Around Inspection
- Once we have completed our own inspection, you have the opportunity to inspect the work for yourself.
